Privacy & data capture

Updated 14 October 2026

This portfolio is operated by Syed Hamza Tahir. I measure how the site is used to find usability problems, improve navigation, and understand whether visitors can find and use the contact links.

What the site measures

The custom tracker sends the published page path, an event name, a fixed section or contact-button label, and a mobile or desktop screen-size category to this site's Cloudflare Worker. Events count page visits, selected section visibility, contact-button visibility, and contact clicks. Cloudflare adds a receipt timestamp.

A visibility event means an element was at least half on-screen for one second in an active tab. It does not prove it was read. A contact click opens your email app; it does not tell me whether you sent an email. Counts are aggregate signals, not a record of an identifiable person's journey.

What the tracker does not store

No names, email addresses, message contents, full IP addresses, visitor IDs, URL query strings, or page fragments are stored in the custom analytics dataset. There are no session recordings, advertising profiles, or tracking cookies. Contact emails you choose to send are handled separately to respond to your inquiry.

Cloudflare and retention

Cloudflare processes requests to host and protect this website, including network information such as your IP address. Security logs are separate from the custom analytics dataset. The dataset is in my Cloudflare account and is retained by Analytics Engine for three months.

I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which provides page-traffic and performance statistics, including referral sources, country, browser and device categories. Its dashboard offers up to six months of history. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Web Analytics documentation.

Your choices

The custom tracker respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also disable it below. This preference is saved only in this browser's local storage; it is not a visitor identifier. This switch controls the custom tracker, not Cloudflare's separate hosting, security, or Web Analytics services. Browser content blockers can block the Web Analytics beacon.

Custom analytics preference: enabled. Browser privacy signals take priority.

Questions

For questions about these measurements or your data, email syedhamzatahir1001@gmail.com. Analytics are used to improve this portfolio, not for advertising or selling visitor data.

Bring the idea.
I’ll build the AI.

I build the data pipelines, models, and agents—and get them running in production.
